HOL Interviews Available

Hey there all you TechEd 2006 Attendees!

It's a little over a week until the start of TechEd 2006 in Boston, can you feel the excitement?!

For all of the registered attendees, I have a treat for you. I have begun uploading selected audio interviews with HOL developers. Now you'll be able to hear, from the lab developers or experts themselves, what some of the Hands-on Labs at TechEd are all about.

There are just a few of these interviews uploaded now, but more are coming!

Perhaps you're asking yourself, "How do I listen to these interviews?"

Good question! Simply log into the Tech·Ed 2006 Communications Network and click on the "Session Scheduler" option in the left and navigation bar. You'll not only be able to create a personalized schedule for TechEd here, but you can listen to the HOL audio interviews as well! Just choose Hands-on Lab as the "session type" and track that you're interested and it'll pull up the title and abstract for the HOLs. If there are audio interviews available, you can click on the audio file link and listen to them on your computer.

Right now, there are five interviews posted:

ARC003 - Explore Team Foundation Server for Architects
ARC004 - Using the System Designer in Visual Studio
BAP004 - Microsoft Retail Management System
CLI002 - New Windows Vista Management Technologies
CLI008 - Managing Windows Vista and Windows Server Code Name "Longhorn" Network Bandwidth with Policy-Based Quality of Service

This is just another way we're giving you more information so your experience at TechEd 2006 is an exciting and informative one.

Make sure to check back here to get the first word on which Hands-on Lab Interviews are available.

See you all in Boston!

Any idea what's up (or more precisely, what's NOT up) with the CommNet site? It has only worked once for me in the past 2 weeks... I was expecting to be able to use the site to check my schedule, but I have found it takes minutes to partially load the site, and logging in doesn't appear to work at all. Is it just me?

Very cool!

I just listened to the CLI008 - audio and found it very informative. So much so, I have added the HOL to my to do list.

Thanks, Rick

This comment is in response to the first anonymous comment regarding problems accessing CommNet. Is it just you? I'm not sure. I'd reccomend contacting and let them know of the issue you're having. They should be able to assist you.

See you next week!
